vacancy for parish clerk
Applications are invited for the post of Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer.
Contracted hours: 13 hrs per week. Salary in accordance with Local Government NJC SCP 18 to 24 (£9.299 - £11.302 an hour).
The Clerk/RFO will be accountable to the Council for the management of its resources and budget and will ensure that the legal and statutory provisions affecting the Council’s activities are observed. The Council is looking for a person with good organisational and communication skills who can work efficiently and effectively under pressure and on his/her own initiative. The person appointed will have financial, legal and administrative skills and will be computer literate. Local government experience is desirable but not essential provided that the applicant is able to commit to undertaking the necessary study and training.
The post holder will work from home and will be required to attend evening meetings and be available for members of the public to contact during set office hours during the week. Some assistance will be given with home office costs.
