One report of criminal damage in Collingham, a family cat was shot in the leg. The cat’s leg was subsequently amputated. One residential burglary. Attempt to force rear doors. Entry not gained. One theft non-specific. Cllrs agreed to write to Council Leader Judith Blake to express concerns re 13% increase in council tax yet reduction in police budget. MINUTES of the last MEETING The minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 5th March 2019 were accepted as a true record and signed by the Chairman. FINANCE a. The PC agreed to ask the church to consider match funding for the wall and park. Advice on grants to be forwarded to Tim Wood. Can not fund noticeboards as out of PC remit. ORGANISATIONAL MATTERS a. Local Centres programme (LCP) – Meeting now held with LCC. Number of legal issues raised, which will be addressed by LCC legal Department. b. Bishopdale Copse – No further developments. PLANNING See Appendix 1 for a. and b. a. Applications. b. Decisions and enforcements. c. Miller Homes Development – No further developments d. The Ridge Development – No further developments e. CALSA extension and cricket nets – No further developments. f. Adverse Possession Application – No further developments LEEDS CITY COUNCIL Highways Report – 20mph Zones – Public Meeting held on Thursday 21st March. Good attendance. Support for extension of the 20 MPH zones around the school. Agreed to send feedback to LCC, as highlighted in letter prepared by JH. The letter will also be uploaded onto the website and Facebook page. JH to forward letter to LCC. TO CONSIDER ENVIRONMENT and VILLAGE MATTERS a. Teen Space project – Report circulated. Continuing to explore ideas and suggestions from young people. b. SID Data – The data for this month shows an increase in both traffic volume and speed. Agreed to contact Inspector Horn re road safety officer project. c. Harewood Road bus stop – Agreed to write to East Keswick PC to ask them to pick up the project now that we have competed the groundwork as the area falls within their Parish. d. Beck Wood – Work will commence 8th April on the bike track. Clerk to organise a post installation inspection of the track. The pocket project funding will also cover the cost of a designated bird watch area and display boards, which will provide information about wild life and history of the area. e. Playground Improvements – Work to commence 3rd April for approximately 6 days. Clerk to organise a post installation inspection. f. ‘In Bloom’ scheme – AH to establish as constitution for the ‘In Bloom’ project which will allow the PC to apply for grants. The scheme will initially include the summer flowering baskets and Beck Wood. ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA a. Items for the agenda to be forwarded to the Clerk up to one week before the meeting. CLOSURE The Chairman declared the meeting closed at 9.15pm. The next meeting will be the Annual Meeting following the elections and will be held on Tuesday 14th May 2018 – 7.30 at Collingham Memorial Hall.
