None APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE I Robertson (IR), Ian Stott (IS), D Lee (DL) POLICE Three crimes reported for Collingham. Theft of bike from Garsdale Fold. Suspects removed bike from garden. Break in to commercial vehicle on The Avenue, nothing removed. Theft from shop on Main Street, property removed from shelves. Two males were charged with drug offences apprehended in the Linton Memorial Hall car park, between Christmas and New year. Any drug related offences can be reported anonymously through the Crime Stoppers number: 0800 555 111. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST and CONSIDERATION of DISPENSATIONS None MINUTES of the last MEETING The minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 5th December 2017 were accepted as a true record and signed by the Chairman. UPDATE FROM ACTION LOG Cllr Holmes gave a verbal report on outstanding action points, which were noted. Linton Green Space – Painting of railings to be undertaken during Spring, when the weather is improved. Beck Wood – Signs have arrived and will be put up by Chris Conroy. Clerk to organise. Speed Indication Device (SID) – Purchase of SID’s to proceed. Linton Memorial Hall – Defibrillator training to take place at Linton Memorial Hall once group of volunteers identified. Balances and receipts noted. 2. Resolved to donate £50 each to the four supporting organisations for Christmas light switch on. 3. Resolved the sum of £105 for signs at Beck Wood. 4. Agreed to further investigate costs for replacement wet-pore surface for play area. The work cannot be undertaken in poor weather conditions. Replacement or repair will take place in spring. ORGANISATIONAL MATTERS LEEDS CITY COUNCIL 1. Highways Meeting – List of improvements now with new highways officer Trishna Rycroft. PC are responding queries about the improvements. TO CONSIDER ENVIRONMENT and VILLAGE MATTERS 1. Village centre plan – SH to pursue EK Garden Centre re planters. Bridges to be painted when weather improved. 2. Agreed to instruct Azure Tree Services to attend to tree 2 hazards in Collingham. 3. Village gateways – SG to undertake research on village gateways options. Opinion will then be sought from residents regarding preferred option through news update, website, Facebook and parish magazine. 4. Outdoor youth facility and CALSA – Sub group met to discuss the outdoor youth facility proposal and other initiatives ie CALSA and scout hut. Agreed to meet with CALSA and scouts to discuss way forward. Will seek opinion from young people re the outdoor youth proposal. 5. Linton Beck Project – Resolved to support the project. £4850 ex VAT agreed. 6. Christmas lights project – Agreed to support LED lights in Orchard garden trees. SG to research funding options/grants. PS to seek approval from Orchard Garden committee. PLANNING See Appendix 1 for a. and b. 1. Applications. 2. Decisions and enforcements. 3. The Ridge appeal may be held in May.
