None made APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies were received from Cllrs D Armitage (DRA) and Costello (PAC) POLICE Speed checks were being done regularly in both villages, but to date this had not produced an improvement. Inconsiderate parking on The Avenue continued to be a problem. Local youths regularly causing a nuisance in Collingham had been spoken to by the police. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST and CONSIDERATION of DISPENSATIONS Cllr Groves declared an interest in the planning application for 13 Garth Avenue, and then took no part in deciding the comments of the council. MINUTES of the last MEETING The minutes of the meeting held on 14.4.15 were amended at item 7000 vi. to show ‘and also redundant bus stops’ and then accepted and signed by the Chairman. Tree trimming at Linton Memorial Hall- to be listed on September agenda c. Resolved not to pursue the purchase of the field next to church in Collingham d. Resolved to adopt the phone box in Linton but with no electricity connected, and to inform Linton Village Society of this decision e. Abandoned car on Dewar Close has now been removed f. Decisions – none received this month NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANS FOR COLLINGHAM and LINTON a. Received an update on progress of Linton plan, now with LCC, website to be updated b. To consider repainting white railings at Main St/Northgate Lane and Stammergate Lane, Linton b. To consider employing a contractor to fit new noticeboards c. To approve additional work on daffodil bank, Linton NEXT MEETING There being no further business, the chairman declared the meeting closed at 9.45pm. The Annual Meeting will be on 11.5.15 at Collingham Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. ANNEX 1 - PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED - APRIL 2015 15/01597/FU | Detached four bedroom house with integral garage | Land To Rear Of Windrush College Farm Lane Linton Wetherby LS22 4HR Objections 1. The development is not in accordance with the context of the area and therefore is non-compliant with paragraph 6.3 of the Village Design Statement (VDS). 2. The plots forming the College Farm residential development are all similar size. Adding a new dwelling in the garden does not respect the prevailing density of dwellings and is therefore non-compliant with paragraphs 6.5 and 6.8 of the VDS. 3. The proposed development has an unacceptable impact on local amenity and is therefore again non-compliant with paragraph 6.5 of the VDS. 4. The Linton Neighbourhood Development Plan has been submitted to Leeds and is about to start the Regulation 16 consultation process. This Plan can now be given some weight. The proposed development is non-compliant with Policies A1a, A1c, A1e, A1f and A1g. 15/01854/FU | Two storey and first floor rear extension | 13 Garth Avenue Collingham Wetherby LS22 5BJ Objections 1. Existing walls are rendered with pebbledash finish and stone plinth. The plinth is higher at side than the rear 2. The new wall of the extension on the side (south east) elevation should reflect this (VDS; 6.13 and 6.14) 3. This wall should also be set back from the original (VDS; 6.9) to avoid damage to the original render and show a clean break between new and existing 4. Unsightly flue on side (south east) elevation 15/01737/FU | Single storey side/rear extension; convert part of existing attached garage to habitable rooms; porch to front; dormer window with Juliet balconies to rear forming rooms in roof space. | 11 Osprey Close Collingham Wetherby LS22 5LZ Objections 1.
